How to ACE Your Next Cybersecurity Interview

My best technical interview prep tips to get HIRED.

I still remember the first time I sat down for a cybersecurity interview.

Laptop charged. Resume triple-checked.

But five minutes in… I could feel the doubt creep in.

They asked me,

“How would you explain the difference between a vulnerability and an exploit to a non-technical stakeholder?”

And even though I knew it in my head, I froze.

Mumbled something.

Then walked away feeling like I left half my brain at home.

If you’ve ever had that kind of moment,

Where your hands sweat, your voice stumbles, and your mind goes blank.

You’re not the only one experienced it.

Here’s what I’ve learned since then:

Learning and preparing are not the same thing.

We watch videos, take notes, finish courses.

But the moment someone says “Tell me about a time you handled risk…”

we realize we haven’t practiced for that moment.

And in cybersecurity, that moment matters.

It’s not just about memorizing definitions.

It’s about learning how to think clearly under pressure.

To speak with clarity and confidence when it counts.

That’s why I created the Cybersecurity Interview Prep Course.

Not to give you more theory.

But to help you rehearse real questions.

Structure your answers.

And walk into your next interview already knowing what you’re going to say.

I know how tempting it is to just keep watching free content, hoping that one day it’ll all click.

And if you’re curious, you can check out how I got hired into cybersecurity here:

But trial and error has a cost too:
 📉 A missed opportunity.
📉 A rejection that didn’t need to happen.
 📉 A role that could’ve been yours.

So here’s a gentle question:

👉 Would you invest a little now to save weeks of doubt later?

If yes, I’d love to help you get there faster:
