Here’s how to ACE your next cybersecurity interview 👩🏻‍💻

Three simple steps to prepare for your cybersecurity interviews

Here’s how to ACE your next cybersecurity interview 👩🏻‍💻

💡 Focus on preparing for the following: Cybersecurity Technical, Behavioral, and Security Design interview questions. I typically recommend doing 20-30 technical and behavioral practice questions as well as 3-5 security design questions just to get comfortable with the types of questions you could potentially be asked during an interview.

💻 Complete 2-3 mock interviews: These can be done alone or with someone you trust that gives a more realistic simulation of an interview so you can actually get practice articulating your answers to technical and behavioral questions. Timing yourself as well as recording the interview to watch back and critique your performance is another great way to figure out how to improve quickly.

🔐 Always ask for feedback: After an interview, interviewers or recruiters tend to be pretty vague with their feedback but you should always follow up on what you could’ve done better, what skills you should focus on growing, and how you can improve for your future interviews. This feedback loop is one of the most important ones in your career.
